The Studio Deanna logo is the image of a single stitch. Much like a dance move, it is but one piece of a much larger, beautiful whole.
When I complete my wire crochet sculpture works, I like to take macro photos which show another side to my work. It is through one such photo I have been able to capture this one meticulous stitch, this one choreographed move, one of many which is the core of my work.
It’s design, coincidentally, evokes the look of a Japanese hanko or signature hand stamp. Living in Japan has greatly influenced my work through its immense impact of meticulous craftsmanship.
